This was the most ambitious project I planned and realized as a mentor in the NAU USITT Peer Mentorship Program. The goal of the project was to give a group of students an introduction to the world of show control and give them the skills to create basic show control networks and use OSC commands. Though the project had no practical use, it turned out to be a wonderful teaching tool and allowed our team of mentors to teach a group of eight students a set of skills including Qlab Programming, OSC code in Qlab, Understanding a Network and IPs, Numerical Color Values, Reading a Lighting Plot, and EOS Programming. Everyone involved, including myself and the other mentors, learned something new; because of this I regard this project as one of my largest accomplishments during my time at NAU, despite the relatively small amount of work that went into it.
